How do I send holiday cards online?

Choose a holiday card design, add your family photos and message, personalize the fonts, colors, and envelope liner, then import your card list from a spreadsheet or your email contacts and send by email or text message (in supported countries), or share a direct link. Your dashboard shows you which cards were delivered and opened.

When should holiday cards be sent?

The first two weeks of December is the usual window, early enough that your card is not competing with a full inbox and late enough to feel seasonal. Paper cards have to be mailed well before that to arrive in time; a digital card lands the same day you send it, so a late start is recoverable, and you can schedule the send for a specific date and time.

Can I add family photos, music, or my own design?

Yes. Any design can be customized with your own photos, fonts, colors, and wording, and you can upload a song to play when the card is opened. If you had a card designed elsewhere, or made one in another tool, you can upload it as the card and still use Greenvelope's animated envelope, delivery, and tracking.

Can I send holiday cards to people whose email addresses I do not have?

Yes. For anyone on your list without an email address, you can send the card by SMS text message (in supported countries), WhatsApp, or Facebook Messenger, or copy a sharable link and send it however you like. The person receiving it does not need a Greenvelope account to open it.

How much does it cost to send digital holiday cards?

A single mailing is a flat one-time price starting at $19, set by the number of people you are sending to, with no subscription required and no per-guest charges, so the cost per card falls as your list grows. Greenvelope is ad-free, so nothing is placed around your card, and you can design and preview one with no credit card required before you decide.

How does Greenvelope calculate people?

Each person (with or without email) added to the mailing list counts as (1) person. For example, "The Smith Family" of John, Jill, Tim, and Lauren would count as (4) people.

What if I am unsure how many people I need?

In this case, we recommend purchasing a smaller package initially. You can then easily purchase additional people from within your mailing on an as needed basis.

Can I send in multiple batches?

Greenvelope allows you to resend invitations or send invitations to new contacts at any time.

What if I need multiple versions of my card?

The best way to set this up would be to have two different mailings. You will need to purchase a separate "single mailing" package for each version.

Do you offer RSVP tracking?

Yes! Greenvelope's robust RSVP tracking makes planning effortless. You can collect RSVPs, track plus ones, gather meal selections, send RSVP reminders, set up seating charts, and more.

Can I also send my invitations via text message?

In addition to email, you can send your Greenvelope invitations and cards via SMS text message, WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, or a sharable link.

Do you offer digital thank you notes or save the dates?

Yes, in addition to our digital invitations and RSVP tracking, Greenvelope offers both save the dates and thank you notes. Each mailing type provides easy-to-use features, such as address collection on save the dates and individual customization for thank you notes.

What if I need to update my invitation after I've sent it?

You can do that! One of the many benefits of digital invitations is that you can add additional information, update your card, or quickly follow-up with guests with ease.

Can I send a sample to myself?

Yes! When you arrive at the 'Send' step after designing your mailing, your account information will automatically be added so you can easily send yourself a test and make sure everything looks exactly how you want it.
