How Much Does Greenvelope Cost? Every Plan, Explained

Single mailings priced by guest count, annual memberships with unlimited sends, and no coins, ads, or surprises at checkout. Current as of October 2026.

Greenvelope pricing starts at $19 for a single mailing to a guest list of up to 20 people. There are two ways to buy. A Single Mailing is a one-time purchase priced by the size of your guest list, with no subscription required. An Annual Membership is optional, and covers unlimited mailings for one year, each for a unique purpose, capped at the guest count of the package you choose. Both tables are below, with every figure verified against the pricing calculator on our homepage on October 25, 2026.

How Much Does Greenvelope Cost?

Single Mailings are sold in guest-count packages rather than billed at a fixed price for each individual guest. Packages step every 20 guests from 20 through 200, then in larger steps up to 25,000. The table lists every package through 250 guests plus selected larger ones; the calculator lists the full range.

Choosing the Package That Covers Your Guest List

Count everyone on your guest list, then choose the smallest package whose capacity is equal to or greater than that number. Every named person counts as one, household members included, so count people rather than invitations. A list that sits between two capacities takes the next package up at that package's published price. Enter your count in the pricing calculator and it highlights the package that covers it.

Two counts come up often. A 50-person guest list is $59, on the package covering up to 60 guests. A 150-person guest list is $159, on the package covering up to 160 guests. There is no Single Mailing package sized at 50 or at 150. The number 150 does appear on the membership side, where $225 per year covers unlimited mailings of up to 150 guests each, which is a yearly product rather than the price of one mailing.

Costs Outside the Package Price

The package price covers the mailing itself. Three things are separate purchases:

  • Additional guest capacity. If your list grows past the package you bought, you can purchase additional guests within the mailing. If you bought more capacity than you needed, Greenvelope's refund policy downgrades you to the next smallest package that still fits your guest list and refunds the difference, as long as the invitation has not been sent.
  • Optional designer-assisted services. Standard self-service personalization is included. Greenvelope also offers four optional paid design services that apply to the card image itself: a fully custom design, a color change, a text adjustment, and a wax seal adjustment. These are purchased in addition to a single mailing or membership, either in the same cart or later. See Custom Design Services for scope and how to order.
  • Text messages beyond the starting allowance. Every paid account starts with 500 text messages, an allowance that belongs to the account rather than to each mailing. More are bought in blocks of 250. For a large text-based mailing, note that Greenvelope currently allows purchasing 1,000 SMS messages per month, which is a limit on purchasing rather than on sending. Current block pricing and the countries text delivery supports are in the text message help article.

Purchased Capacity, Attendance Capacity, and Plus-One Allowances

Purchased guest capacity, RSVP attendance capacity, and plus-one allowances serve different purposes.

  • Purchased guest capacity is the package. It covers everyone on the mailing list whether or not they reply, with each named person counting individually, household members included.
  • Maximum capacity is an RSVP setting on an invitation mailing that limits attendance by capping affirmative replies.
  • The Plus 1 Policy is an allowance controlling how many additional guests each listed person may bring. It is permission, not an attendance count.

A venue that seats 40 and a mailing purchased for 60 are consistent with each other. Set the RSVP capacity to the places you have, choose the package that covers everyone on the list, and set additional-guest allowances according to whom you intend to invite. Our guide to the best online invitation platforms with RSVP limits and guest caps compares how five platforms handle each of the three.

What the Package Price Includes

The core features come with the smallest single mailing and the largest membership alike; the price varies with how many people you are inviting, not with which of them you use. Included at every price:

  • The full design collection, with self-service personalization of wording, fonts, preset colorways, and envelope options, plus the animated envelope opening
  • Uploading your own finished card artwork, and adding background music
  • Delivery by email, or by text message to guests in supported countries
  • Each guest's delivery and open status, plus address validation, guest messaging, registry and map links, and guest list export
  • An ad-free experience on every page a guest sees

Invitation mailings also include RSVP tracking, survey questions for meals and dietary notes, and RSVP reminder emails you can send or schedule to guests who have not replied. RSVP functionality belongs to invitation packages, so save the dates, announcements, and cards cannot accept RSVPs.

A mailing is a card sent to a guest list: a save the date, an invitation, an announcement, and a thank you note are each one mailing. Batches, resends, reminder emails, and messages within an existing mailing do not require another mailing purchase. Text messages still count toward the account's SMS allowance.

Single Mailing or Annual Membership

A Single Mailing requires no subscription and nothing renews. An Annual Membership is optional, and carries an auto-renewal setting you control from your billing page: with auto renewal off, the membership simply ends at the end of its term. The table shows where a membership becomes the cheaper route.

250 guests$249$375 per yearThe second mailing

Assumes the same guest count for every mailing, a distinct purpose for each, and all of them inside one membership year. There is no 100-guest membership package, so a 100-person list uses the one covering up to 150 guests per mailing.

If your lists vary in size, compare the actual total of the individual purchases you would make against the membership that covers your largest mailing. A wedding is the common case for crossing over, since a save the date, the invitation, and thank you notes are three distinct mailings that may make a membership worthwhile. Those lists are not always identical, so price them as they actually stand.

Cost Per Guest at Full Capacity

Each figure below is a package price divided by that package's own capacity, which is useful when comparing against services that price each recipient. These are effective per-guest costs for comparison, not billing rates; use the package price to calculate your quote.

Greenvelope Single Mailing cost per guest by package at full capacity, verified October 25, 2026
Package covers Single Mailing price Cost per guest at full capacity
Up to 20 guests$19$0.95
Up to 60 guests$59$0.98
Up to 100 guests$99$0.99

Up to 250 guests$249Just under $1.00
Up to 500 guests$374$0.75
Up to 1,000 guests$499$0.50

For your own event, divide the package price by your real guest count. A package you do not fill costs more per guest: the $59 mailing works out to $1.31 per guest at 45 guests and $0.98 at 60. For a like-for-like comparison with another service, use a quote for the same guest list and the features you plan to use, including any text message costs. Where a gathering is 6 to 20 people and a no-cost tool is a real option, our guide to the best online invitations for small gatherings sets the $19 mailing beside those routes.

How Greenvelope Compares to Other Pricing Models

Digital invitation services commonly use some combination of a few models, and many offer more than one. Ad-supported plans place third-party ads around your event and typically charge to remove them. Coin and credit systems sell bundles and price designs and recipients in them, so the total moves with both the design chosen and the list size. Subscription plans charge on a recurring schedule. Greenvelope's Single Mailing is a one-time price set by the package that covers your guest list, with the membership as an optional alternative for frequent senders. One thing worth checking in any comparison grid: capacity and registration controls often sit behind a particular paid plan, which our guide to the best online invitation platforms with RSVP limits and guest caps notes platform by platform.

What It Costs to Send Digital Wedding Invitations

A wedding invitation mailing is $99 for a guest list of up to 100 people, $159 for up to 160, and $249 for up to 250, with RSVP tracking, meal surveys, and reminder emails included. A save the date and the invitation are two separate mailings. Assuming both go to the same guest count and both fall within one membership year: at 150 and 250 guests a membership costs less than two single mailings, while at 100 guests two single mailings total $198 against a $225 membership, which also covers thank-you notes sent before the membership expires and within its guest-count limit. If the two lists differ in size, price the actual purchases instead. Our guide to how much wedding invitations cost prices a printed suite for the same 100-guest list line by line.

What It Costs to Send Digital Baby Shower Invitations

Shower-sized lists sit in the first packages: $19 covers up to 20 guests, $39 up to 40, and $59 up to 60 for a larger co-ed or extended-family list. Each is a one-time purchase and includes the designed invitation, RSVP tracking, survey questions, a registry link, and reminder emails. You can browse the baby shower invitation collection and preview everything before paying.

Reviews and Response Rates

Greenvelope holds a TrustScore of 4.9 out of 5 across more than 10,000 reviews on its Trustpilot profile, checked October 26, 2026. Separately, across the 70,624 events in Greenvelope's own dataset, the median event saw 85.3% of its guest list respond. That is an observed median response rate from our own events, not an attendance rate and not a promise about any particular event; the method is set out in our RSVP response rate benchmarks.

Try Greenvelope Before You Pay

Trial Mode lets you create an account, design your invitation, preview the full guest experience, and send a real invitation to up to 10 people, with no credit card required and no time limit. Some functions are held back until you buy a package: creating a shareable link, copying a guest's personalized link, exporting the card as a file for printing, the Messaging feature, and cloning a card to a different mailing. Your account, contacts, and designs carry over when you upgrade. Start designing to see what your guests will get.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Greenvelope cost?

Greenvelope starts at $19 for a single mailing to a guest list of up to 20 people, priced by the package that covers your list: $99 for up to 100 guests, $159 for up to 160, $249 for up to 250, $374 for up to 500, and $499 for up to 1,000. Packages step every 20 guests from 20 through 200, then in larger steps above that. An optional Annual Membership covers unlimited distinct-purpose mailings for a year, priced by the guest cap per mailing, from $60 per year for mailings up to 20 guests and $125 per year for mailings up to 50. Prices verified October 25, 2026.

How much does Greenvelope cost for 150 guests?

A single mailing to a 150-person guest list is $159, on the package covering up to 160 guests. There is no Single Mailing package sized at 150. For frequent senders, an Annual Membership covering mailings of up to 150 guests each is $225 per year. Prices verified against the pricing calculator on October 25, 2026.

How much does Greenvelope cost for 50 guests?

A single mailing to a 50-person guest list is $59, on the package covering up to 60 guests. There is no Single Mailing package sized at 50. For frequent senders, an Annual Membership covering mailings of up to 50 guests each is $125 per year. Prices verified against the pricing calculator on October 25, 2026.

How do I know which Greenvelope package I need?

Count everyone on your guest list, counting each named household member as one person, then choose the smallest package whose capacity is equal to or greater than that number. A list of 140 guests fits the up-to-140 package at $139; 141, 150, and 160 guests all fit the up-to-160 package at $159; and 161 guests moves to the up-to-180 package at $179. Entering your count in the pricing calculator on the Greenvelope homepage highlights the package that covers it.

How much does Greenvelope cost per guest?

Single Mailings are sold in guest-count packages rather than billed at a fixed price for each individual guest. Dividing a package price by that package's capacity gives about a dollar per guest or less: $19 for up to 20 guests is $0.95, $99 for up to 100 is $0.99, $159 for up to 160 is $0.99, and $249 for up to 250 is just under $1.00. Above 250 guests it falls further, with $374 for up to 500 guests at 75 cents and $499 for up to 1,000 at 50 cents. Those figures describe a filled package; one you do not fill costs more per guest.

Is purchased guest capacity the same as the RSVP attendance cap?

No, they are two different settings. Purchased guest capacity is the package you buy, covering everyone on the mailing list whether or not they reply, with each named person counting individually, household members included. The RSVP attendance cap is the Maximum capacity setting on an invitation mailing, which limits attendance by capping affirmative replies. A third setting, the Plus 1 Policy, controls how many additional guests each listed person may bring. A 60-guest package and a 40-seat room are not in conflict: set the package to cover the list you are sending to, and the capacity to the places you have.

What costs extra on top of a Greenvelope package?

Three things. Additional guest capacity, if your list grows past the package you bought. Optional designer-assisted services, which cover a fully custom design, a color change, a text adjustment, or a wax seal adjustment, purchased alongside a mailing or membership or added later. And text messages beyond the 500 that come with a paid account, bought in blocks of 250, with purchasing currently capped at 1,000 messages per month. Standard self-service personalization and guest messaging are included. Invitation mailings also include RSVP tracking and RSVP reminder emails. Text messages remain subject to the account's SMS allowance.

Does Greenvelope charge per template or per design change?

There are no coins, credits, or per-template charges, and the full design collection is available at every price. Changes you make yourself in the editor, including wording, fonts, preset colorways, and envelope options, are included. Greenvelope also offers optional paid design services for work handled by its design team, covering a fully custom design, a color change, a text adjustment, or a wax seal adjustment, each purchased separately from the mailing.

When is a Greenvelope annual membership cheaper than single mailings?

It depends on your guest count, assuming the same list size each time, a distinct purpose for every mailing, and all of them within one membership year. At 20 guests the membership wins from the fourth mailing, at 50 and 100 guests from the third, and at 150 and 250 guests from the second. If your lists vary in size, compare the total of the individual purchases you would actually make against the membership that covers your largest mailing.

Do guests see ads on Greenvelope invitations?

No. Greenvelope is ad-free for guests at every price, on the envelope, the invitation, and the RSVP form.

What does a Greenvelope annual membership include, and does it renew?

A membership covers unlimited mailings for one year, as long as each is for a unique purpose, with every mailing capped at the guest count of your package: $60 per year up to 20 guests, $125 up to 50, $225 up to 150, $375 up to 250, $565 up to 500, and $755 up to 1,000. These capacities are separate from the Single Mailing packages and are not single-mailing prices. A membership has an auto-renewal setting you control from your billing page; with auto renewal turned off it does not renew at the end of the term. A Single Mailing has nothing to cancel.
